I have tasted the NV Canasta 20 Years before, but I tasted it again from a more recent lot, the L18123, a very old cream sherry with 125 grams of sugar obtained toward the end of 2017 by blending an existing old cream with an Oloroso from Los Toneles (that had never been bottled). The result was very good, and the wine felt very fresh and didn't seem to have the age or the sugar, because there is a lot of finesse. Despite the sugar, it has the drying sensation of the concentration through age, quite integrated with the character of Oloroso, as the cream was very old and the PX they had used was already very integrated, so there are notes of tobacco and caramel rather than raisins or overripe fruit.
