Review

Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo are used for the Abadal range's young red, allowed a short spell in barrel: smooth, aromatic, with singular aromas from the short ageing.

A dark garnet colour and dense, the wine releases aromas of ripe red berries (raspberries and redcurrants) on a background of toffee and apricot. It is fresh and powerful on the palate with a lingering finish, during which the fruity notes reappear, along with mineral hints typical of the Cabernet Franc grape, on a satiny, oak-nuanced background.

NOTE: It is advisable to open the bottle about 15 minutes before serving.

Aged for 4 months in French oak barrels and subsequently in bottle.

Buen vino,

Sabroso, con cuerpo. Ideal para tomar solo ó con queso. Muy buena relación entre calidad y precio. Muy recomendable. Un acierto.

Masies d'Avinyó

Masies d'Avinyó (Abadal) is the amalgamation of a land reclaimed and restored to the wine-growing tradition of Bages (a name bestowed by ancient settlers, paying tribute to the Roman god of wine, Bacchus), the modern approach of its owners and the innovative, willing spirit of a young, enterprising team with a single purpose: to produce wines of quality and great distinction, and with an aspiration: to make wines that have their own defining character. The Bages region is lo...
