Feudo Montoni

The magical courtyard from 1469 which is the heart of Fabio Sireci's passion, Feudo Montoni, between Agrigento, Palermo and Caltanissetta, is today one of the cornerstones of Sicilian wine and of the Nero d'Avola in particular. The vineyards, which reach 800 metres altitude, are grown biologically and are rich in spontaneous vegetation that feeds the ecosystem. The fragrant and soft Lagnusa, an engaging and rustic Nero d'Avola, the imperious and solemn Vrucara, the top Nero d'Avola, of great sapidity, the child of bush-vines more than ten r-year periods, 45 months in cement and 6 in cask. The rare Perricone del Core, from an unusual vine is outstanding, and evokes spices and macerated leaves, with a beautiful tannin and dynamic softness. Among the whites, the vegetal and mineral minerality of the Inzolia dei Fornelli is stunning, and the smoky background of the Catarratto del Masso is amazing. And there is also a rosé, the Rose di Adele, a Nerello Mascalese full of minerality and unique persistence.
