Review

Monopole is Spain's oldest white wine brand. A historic wine that always guarantees a good glass of dry, fresh and fruity young wine.

Made from the first pressing of the Viura variety, Monopole preserves all the primary aromas of the grapes. Appearing a pale yellow colour, fruit-driven scents emerge that bring to mind pear and apple, as well as delicate floral hints. Fresh and smooth on the palate, it has all its fine features in perfect balance.

Cune

A regular purchase after a trip to Haro and a visit of CUNE.

Great wine for the price.

If you’re looking for an easy drinking white wine for summer this must be on your list. A great wine for the price, even with shipping costs.

Very nice easy drinking wine.

A very nice fresh tasting wine, which is good with or without food, we had it with paella, and it is lovely, will be back for more.

I love it

Excellent when served really cold. Goes well with fish or equally pleasant to just drink without eating. Another favourite of mine.

A nice fresh dry white wine

I visited CUNE many years ago when they were just producing their first commercial dry white which I believe was the prototype for Monopole. We enjoyed it then very much and it’s appeal remains undimished today.

Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España - CVNE

The Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España, CVNE —or 'Cune', as it's known locally in Haro— was founded in 1879 and was one of the first wineries in La Rioja to bottle wine. What started out as the project of two brothers (Raimundo and Eusebio Real de Asúa) continues today in the hands of the same family (now the fifth generation) and comprises four wineries: CVNE, Imperial (an independent winery within the original CVNE winery), Viña Real and Viñedos del Contino. ...
