The white 2019 Mas de Mancuso Macabeo was produced with grapes from a different plot of vines: 62-year-old plants in the higher altitude part of the village of Almonacid at 670 meters in altitude on a north-facing plot on slate-rich soils. It fermented in stainless steel and matured in two 500-liter oak barrels for 16 months. It's floral and peachy, elegant and delicate. It has moderate ripeness and alcohol (13.6%), a pH of 3.15 (it didn't go through malolactic) and a fine texture with some chalkiness. It's the first vintage from this plot, and the wine is quite impressive. 1,200 bottles were filled in February 2021.
