The wine

From grapes grown organically even if not certified, the Montegrilli Nebbiolo is the fruit of an old family vineyard that belonged to the grandfather Eugenio. It is a jovial and snappy interpretation of Nebbiolo, which expresses all the naturalness and territoriality of this extraordinary vine. An intriguing and atypical Langhe Nebbiolo, which rests, yes, only in steel, but is macerated on the skins for two months.

What does this wine taste like?

It has a vibrant ruby-red colour with a barely noticeable orange tinge. The bouquet, harmonious and balanced, is a pleasant combination of floral and fruity aromas and lightspices, with a finish of rose, violet and white pepper. On the palate it is fresh, lively, harmonious in its acidic, tannic and alcoholic components; it is soft, elegant, full-bodied with a very long and juicy aftertaste. It is reminiscent of freshly macerated red berries, raspberry and currant.
