Review

Elvio Cogno's Langhe Nebbiolo Montegrilli has a vibrant ruby red color with a barely pronounced orange edge. The aroma, harmonious and balanced, is a pleasant synthesis of floral, fruity and light spice aromas, with a finish of rose, violet and white pepper. In the mouth it is fresh, lively, harmonious in its acid, tannic and alcoholic components; it is soft, elegant, full-bodied with a very long and juicy aftertaste. Reminiscent of freshly macerated red berries, raspberry and currant. It accompanies traditionally roasted meats and aged cheeses, but surprisingly fresh in combination with fish and raw dishes.
