The white 2014 Bilhar Plots is produced with grapes purchased from two growers from the village of Elvillar. It's a blend of Viura and Garnacha Blanca that fermented with natural yeasts, after a short maceration with the skins, and it matured in well-seasoned 500-liter French oak barrels for one year. I guess the skin contact was not that short after all, as the color is a deep golden and the nose has those aromas of baked apples, quince, mandarin peel and balsam. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with good freshness to compensate the fine tannins. A white for white meat, quite different from the last one I tasted. 5,000 bottles produced.
