Tobía Selección de Autor Blanco

Author’s white wine. A distinctive Rioja that brings together the breadth of Chardonnay and the personality of Tempranillo Blanco to create a complex, food-friendly wine full of nuances.

In Rioja, where tradition is usually associated with great red wines, Bodegas Tobía has been exploring new paths for years. Tobía Selección de Autor Blanco is a fine example. Born from the union of Chardonnay and Tempranillo Blanco, two varieties that complement each other to offer a profile that is as original as it is balanced: the former brings volume and aromatic expression; the latter, freshness, tension and character.

Its production is designed to enhance complexity from the very beginning. The free-run juice ferments in French oak foudres and fine-grained, lightly toasted American oak barrels, where it subsequently remains on its fine lees for ten months. After the final blend, the wine rests for a minimum of six months in bottle before release, completing a slow evolution that brings depth and harmony.
