The wine

The Raimat Clamor Rosado comes from the Raimat estate in the DO Costers del Segre in the province of Lleida. The estate’s history dates back to 1914. At that time, Manuel Raventós, owner of the Codorníu winery, acquired barren, desert-like land and, at great expense, made it suitable for viticulture.
The name ‘Clamor’ refers to the lower part of the hill on the estate where the vines for this wine grow. Raimat cultivates its vineyards sustainably.

The rosé is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., it is fresh and fruity and is suitable for many occasions.

What does this wine taste like?

In the glass, the wine is a raspberry red colour with purple highlights. On the nose, it is fresh and fruity. Aromas of strawberry, plum and candied fruit are evident, along with a hint of grapefruit. On the palate, ripe red berries, tropical fruits and citrus notes stand out. Its good acidity lends it freshness and liveliness. The finish is long and fresh.

Drinking and storing

Clamor Rosado is a wine best enjoyed young. It is best drunk within one to two years of harvest, whilst the fruit and freshness are still at their best.

Serve it well chilled at 8 to 10 °C.

Food pairing

Rosé wine pairs well with many dishes. It goes very well with vegetables, rice dishes and fish. It is also a good choice to accompany white meats and mild cheeses. Thanks to its freshness, it also pairs very well with pizza, lasagne and fried foods. You can also serve it with savoury tarts.

Winemaking

The grapes are harvested at night to take advantage of the cool temperatures and preserve the primary aromas. At the winery, they are destemmed, cooled to 10 °C and then pressed very gently.

For the Clamor Rosado, only the free-run juice is used, which is particularly fresh and aromatic. The oenologist decides how much of this goes into the wine, depending on the desired colour. Fermentation takes place at 14 °C to preserve the fruit and freshness.

Raimat

Raimat's history dates back to 1914, when Don Manuel Raventós i Doménech, owner at the time of the historic Codorníu, acquired lands which had been arid and barren until then, lying in what is nowadays the Costers del Segre denomination, in the province of Lleida. After a costly process involving desalination, soil conditioning, and a mammoth task of hydraulic engineering, today Raimat partakes of pure water sourced from melted snow in the Pyrenees. It's a pioneering winery in...
