Review

La Rioja Alta started out on July 10th 1890, with the founding of the company called Sociedad Vinícola de La Rioja Alta by five vine-growing families; the winery was situated in Haro's Barrio de la Estación and their first wine was the Reserva 1890, precursor of the present-day Gran Reserva 890 and a veritable jewel in the winery's crown. A classic-style coupage, Tempranillo with Graciano and Mazuelo, aged for six years in American oak, the perfect wine for the most special of occasions.

  • Optimum serving temperature:Between 17ºC and 18ºC

Grandios.

Llevo varios años bebiéndolo y no me canso.

Their wines are elegant, complex and sophisticated like those of the past, but with more body, colour and robustness, wines adapted to the gastronomical demands of today. In short, great...
