A new wine in the portfolio, the white 2019 La Llorona is from a 40-year-old vineyard planted on sandy soils in the village of Pieros at 500 meters in altitude. The wine partly matured in stainless steel (30%) and the rest in barrels of different sizes (225, 500 and 600 liters) for 15 months. The wine is crunchy and vibrant, with moderate alcohol (12.5%), good acidity and incredible freshness (a pH of 2.88). It has an intense nose of pollen, peach and wax and lots of wild flowers. It is quite different from the Cal, rounder and with a sensation of skin contact (which it didn't have), with a very fine palate, light and ethereal. 2,509 bottles were filled in January 2020. There's no 2020 of this wine, which will come back in 2021.
