Definitely Valtellina is the place to go for good Nebbiolo nowadays. With the Langhe becoming hotter by the year (and therefore heavier, less elegant), Valtellina, which used to have ripeness problems, has become a source of excellent wines at (comparatively) affordable prices. Also the standard is quite high across the spectrum. This wine is proof of that. It took about three ours decanting to fully open up, but then it really flew. The nose is textbook Nebbiolo, with roses, violets, tar and undergrowth. In the palate is feather light, but full of intense flavours. A winner.

Un dei migliori Nebbiolo della Valtellina da me bevuti, darebbe del filo da torcere a moltissimi Nebbioli di Langa.
