The Glorioso line started up in 1928 and is renowned as Bodegas Palacio’s most widespread brand. The range encompasses wines produced according to the traditional Rioja categories: Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva, although ageing in French oak brings an elegance and distinction that are decidedly the winery’s own.

Excellent crianza, excellent price and another wine that never disappoints.
It’s not how I remember it!!!!
This is more than a half decent Crianza and it is more than 25 years since I tried this while on holiday in Minorca with my children, but it doesn't seem to have retained the depth that I remember ... This may of course be my fading memory, and the fact I have traded up a bit in that time ... For the price, it is very good value and well worth a try if you are first timer!!!
A nice full bodied wine for every day drinking
I have been drinking Glorioso for over 3 years now, unable to find it in the UK I am very glad that I can import it at a decent price. It has a very satisfying flavour and I always have a bottle in my wine fridge. It is an everyday favourite and never fails to impress. It is a good benchmark to rate other wines against with respect to the Taste/Cost balance
A Rioja to remember after drinking it in Spain. Lost till I found Vinissimus this excellent Crianza together with its Reserva big brother I am about order for the 9th time, . Bodegas Palacio does a fine job yet again and Vinissimus service is great
I have been buying Glorioso for 3 years. I came across the wine in a store one day and liked it so much I have never looked back. It is my favourite Rioja "Crianza" red wine. I can highly recommend it.

Bodegas Palacio was founded in 1894 and figures nowadays as one of the historic wineries in the Rioja denomination, with wines of international renown such as Glorioso, Reserva Especial and Cosme Palacio y Hermanos, in honour of its founder, Don Cosme Palacio y Bermejillo. In 1998 it was acquired by Hijos de Antonio Barceló, who brought its technology right up to date in order to uphold today its top quality profile.
