Review

Emidio Pepe Montepulciano is a well-structured and robust wine, elegant from the early years and able to surprise if allowed to evolve. It has an intense ruby red color at sight. The nose excites with lively hints of ripe red fruit. On the palate it appears soft and round, with a good tannic texture and a persistence of spices and fruit that make the finish particularly long and juicy. Excellent on pasta seasoned with vegetable or meat sauce, on grilled fish, stewed red meat and aged cheeses.

    Emidio Pepe

Emidio Pepe is the confirmation that producing great wines while respecting territoriality is possible. Emilio Pepe’s Azienda Slow Wine Chiocciola winery, praised to the skies, is an all-round biodynamic reality, which raises the flag for craftsmanship to defend a product, the Montepulciano and Trebbiano, which is the cornerstone of Abruzzo viticulture. The wines have a country-style taste, ancestral, concrete and straight-forward, without compromise. This is demonstrated by ...
