Cerro Añón Gran Reserva

Overdone

I read an excellent review of this wine in Decanter Magazine and decided to try it... despite my best instincts. The wine is drinkable, but like most of the producers who fell under Parker's spell in the 90s (now things have changed and Luís Gutierrez is much more sophisticated and reliable guide) Olarra overdoes the extraction and, in this case in particular, the oak. It may be that with time full integration will take place, although it seems unlikely considering that the wine is already 10 years old. I'll stay with Tondonia and La Rioja Alta.

Gran Reserva di ottimo livello

Una GR di grande complessita, con botte ormai assimilata e sapori che iniziano a girare sui terziari. Raccomandata a tutti per farsi un idea di come dovrebbe essere una GR della Rioja senza spendere molto.

Ganz ok, aber wird dem Preis nicht gerecht

Der Wein ist weich, rotfruchtig, etwas Holz, Vanille und Rauch, aber doch nicht sehr charakterstark. Ihm fehlt die Stärke meines Erachtens. War relativ unbeeindruckt. Habe für 10-12€ schon bessere (Gran) Reservas getrunken, weshalb ich etwas enttäuscht war. Für Finesstrinker nicht geeignet, aber für eine große Runde am geselligen Tisch

Cerro Anon Gran Reserva 2011

Parte scurissimo e con una leggera riduzione. Si apre su note di tabacco molto forti, poi un bel frutto di bosco, sempre molto scuro ma abbastanza vivo. Bocca sorprendente per freschezza, sapida. Bel Vino, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, direi perfetto da bere ora.

Excelente

Esta bodega es todo un descubrimiento. Si el Crianza merece la pena, este gran reserva es espectacular. Es exquisito y el precio que tiene, muy competitivo.
