Viña Ijalba Crianza

Viña Ijalba Crianza represents the natural evolution of the best young wines from the Ijalba winery in Logroño. Produced from a combination of Tempranillo and Graciano, it is a very harmonious wine with a classic style, yet it is also a fleshy wine with a modern concept.

Twelve months ageing in American oak bottles and a further twelve months standing in the bottle means Viña Ijalba Crianza is an extremely well-balanced wine which expresses serenity. The winery's organic vineyards in San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Viana, near Logroño, provide excellent grapes which ferment with local yeast for 15 days. The excellent work of the experienced oenologists at Viña Ijalba transforms the must into a cherry-coloured dense red wine whose fruity aromas of wild berries mix with toasted tones and hints of vanilla. The result is a combination of the Tempranillo's fruitiness with the bouquet the wine develops during its ageing process in wood. A well-extracted wine with a good body and colour, its classic silky texture so characteristic of Ijalba wines is a delight for the mouth.
