Myth of Italian wine, probably the greatest Verdicchio ever, Villa Bucci is a white with "red" characteristics and how the reds must be treated, especially for the serving temperature which must not be frozen but just fresh especially in vintages further away, possibly with the bottle open at least half an hour earlier. In fact, the wine, aged for a long time in cask and bottle, modifies the structure of the aromas, which from primary (grapes and flowers) become secondary and tertiary: spices, aromatic herbs, medicinal herbs, minerals ...
A masterpiece of the great Ampelio Bucci's winemaking flair, Villa Bucci is a Verdicchio di Jesi Reserve with marked verticality and finesse, combined with a fine structure and remarkable aging capacity. Coming from 40-50 year old vines, in youth it shows a bright and intense straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose is complex, impressive, elegant, with a bouquet in which hazelnut, honey, spices and flint are perceived. On the palate it is full, harmonious, balanced and persistent. Accompanied by great lord fish, shellfish, oysters and lobsters; dishes with important sauces, pork, roasted white meats; medium-paste cheeses.

He tenido ocasión de degustar un vino como éste de 20 años. Extraordionario. Nada parecido a lo que tenemos por aquí.
