You fall in love with this wine just by looking at it: with a brilliant color to the eye, it is dressed in shiny gold. Ample on the nose, of ripe fruit, even tropical, including sweet notes of honey, lime as well as spicy and citrus notes, licorice root and almonds. It is wonderfully harmonious in the drink and with a great alcoholic structure mitigated by savory strength and freshness. A feature that makes it even more unique is its long taste-olfactory persistence with an iodized finish. Simply a persuasive and extremely fascinating wine.
Ideal is the accompaniment to stockfish all'anconetana (regional specialty) and baked cod, indeed a bursting and unforgettable combination; also with smoked fish and sardines a beccafico. Excellent with foie gras or paté de foie gras, roast goose and duck, turkey, as well as perfect with well-aged cheeses.
