The wine

Between the mountains and the valley, where the air changes and the vines have to work a little harder, the Chardonnay takes its time. Nekeas Chardonnay Cuvée Allier 2024 is born there, in that balance between warm days and cold nights that refine the ripening process and shape a wine with greater precision than usual.

In the vineyard: altitude, poor, well-drained soils, and slow, unhurried ripening. In the cellar, the same approach: barrel fermentation, work on the lees and batonnage, seeking texture and depth without losing freshness. And, above all, a clear decision: the wood must not dominate. That is why Allier oak, finer, more elegant, better suited to complementing the wine.

The result is a white that warms you from the very first sip, yet stands up to scrutiny. There is fruit, there is volume, there is that enveloping sensation that fills the mouth. But there is also tension, balance and integrated oak that adds depth without distracting. A Chardonnay that isn’t about easy impact, but about the whole package.

A wine that works on its own… and even better at the table.

The Atlantic (it lies 70 km from the Atlantic Ocean) and Mediterranean climatic influences, and a diverse collection of rocky outcrops due to the irregular nature of its mountain geography (red, white and brownish-grey clay, rocky-stony...
