The wine

Luis Alegre Crianza is one of the great classics of Rioja Alavesa. It is made from mature vineyards located in the higher areas of Laguardia and Elciego, where altitude and calcareous soils provide freshness and balance.

Its fourteen months of aging in French and American oak barrels add complexity without taking the spotlight away from the fruit. On the nose, it reveals cherries, raspberries, spices and delicate toasted notes. On the palate, it is silky, generous and elegant, with soft tannins and a persistent finish that invites you to keep enjoying it.

It is an honest, food-friendly and easy-to-understand Rioja. One of those wines that appeals both to those looking for a reliable choice and to those who want to rediscover why Rioja remains one of the world’s great wine regions.
