The wine
Llum d'Alena 2019 is a red wine made by the Cal Batllet winery in the Denominación de Origen Calificada Priorat, Catalonia. This wine is made from 92% Grenache and 8% Carignan, coming from young vines up to 21 years old, planted on terraces on slate soils (licorella) in the municipality of Gratallops. Fermentation is carried out in vats at a maximum temperature of 25 °C, with manual pumping over and délestage, followed by a gentle maceration of 30 days. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 12 months in Flextank eggs, which gives it a balanced structure and a mineral expression characteristic of the Priorat.
