The wine

Honoro Vera Monastrell Organic is a wine that’s fruit-forward and juicy, accessible but far from ordinary. Due to its quality, it must be considered a wine which punches well above its price point, a red true to its varietal, with very pure and clean-cut aromas.

What does this wine taste like?

Uncorked and poured, it appears a Picota cherry red colour of medium to high depth. On the nose, attractive floral aromas come to the fore with touches of perfectly ripe fruits on a balsamic background, all these aromas being very typical of the Monastrell variety. It’s balanced and fresh on the palate, lively and flavoursome, with just the right amount of acidity and fine, rounded tannins obtained from the grape skins which provide a velvety texture.

Bodegas Juan Gil

Bodegas Juan Gil

The origins of Bodegas Juan Gil date back to 1916, when Juan Gil Jiménez built the winery. Today it's the fourth generation at the helm, combining traditional expertise with more contemporary equipment and knowledge. The present-day winery, which began operating in 2002, lies on very poor soils at an altitude of about 800 metres. The climate is extreme, with strong contrasts between day and night temperatures and rain practically non-existent. The stony sand and limestone...
