Clusters of grapes can be separated into two parts: the shoulders and the tips. The latter are formed on the lower halves of the clusters, where the freshest grapes are concentrated. On the shoulders, the upper part, are the riper grapes which produce this magnificent Mencía red. Succulent fruit and a mineral character are its distinctive traits.

Awesome Value

Complex, long and so well balanced with refreshing acidity and a finish that goes on and on. If you haven’t tried Mencia yet then I recommend you do. Start with this one.

Fantastic wine and fantastic offer

Lovely deep red and flavoursome wine. Got to be one of the best wine regions in Spain if not the world.

De los mejores crianzas de España, en mi humilde opinión. Ha sufrido algún altibajo, pero mantiene la esencia y la fuerza de esta bodega

That boy who, back in the 1940s, was entrusted with cleaning the clay vats as he was the only one who fit through the narrow mouths, decided in 1989 to make his dream come true and began to acquire old vineyards in El Bierzo.
