Puligny-Montrachet Monthelie Nature is a vibrant wine, with sweet notes of red fruits and, often, with a slight touch of spices and minerality.
It comes from two plots, located around "Les Plantes" (0.05 hectares) and "En Clous" (0.43 hectares), which complement each other very well. The first plot is planted on the edge of a steep hill looking towards the sunset while sitting on a rocky and sluggish soil that gives a fine and structured wine. The second one benefits from a deeper and more clayey soil that provides more meat and muscle.
It is an honest wine that translates with great authenticity and simplicity the quality of the Pinot Noir Burgundy. Often vinified with whole clusters and aged in barrels, none of which is new and a minimum of sulfur added.
