The wine

Centopassi includes three Sicilian cooperatives that organically cultivate land confiscated from the mafia in the Corleonese area. Each wine produced is dedicated to one of the many victims of the Mafia, in this case, the Nero d'Avola Argille di Tagghia Via di Sutta “It is dedicated to the love and courage of Ninetta Burgio. To his thirst for truth and justice for his son Pierantonio killed innocent at the age of 18, in Niscemi, by the mafia. "

Ruby red color; making the wine swirl in the glass, numerous and slow tears are formed. The nose is fragrant with the beautiful scent of fresh berries, black cherry, morello cherry and plum. Later it is expressed in a floral bouquet dominated by red rose and violet, and then opens with vegetal, wild and spicy notes: fern, aromatic herbs, humus. A very inviting nose that is confirmed by tasting. In the mouth this Nero d'Avola still gives the pleasantness of small fragrant red berried fruits, it is pulpy, fresh, very pleasant and tasty. A really well-balanced wine: balanced tannins, a correct acid vein, cleanliness and elegance encourage you to drink.

A pleasant combination is that with vegetable soups, such as red cabbage soup and legume soup, and is also suitable for accompanying important meat dishes such as mixed boiled meat.

Centopassi

Centopassi is the Sicilian winery that, beginning with its name, reveals its commitment to the front line against the Mafia. This, however, should not distract from the intrinsic quality of the wines, which is excellent. The winery works on land confiscated from the mafia, and bases its work on the values of transparency and sustainability of the supply chain. The area is that of San Giuseppe Jato, inland from Palermo, with vineyards ranging from 500 to 950 metres above sea...
