A coupage of 60% Garnacha, 20% Merlot and 20% Tempranillo, originating from mountain vineyards aged around 20-40 years old at an altitude of 500-700 metres and lying on clay-limestone soils with stones and loam in the composition.
The wine appears an elegant ruby garnet-red colour over a very deep cherry red. On the nose, aromas of vanilla can be discerned along with intensely fruity notes and nuances from oak-ageing. It has a fleshy palate, very good structure and a long, pleasant and harmonious aftertaste.
Aged for 10 months in French (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels.

Bob's Big Find
I don't agree on everything Robert Parker signs off big scores on - but we can agree on this humdinger. As bang for buck wines go, he may have a point in ordaining this 'the greatest value wine on the planet'. I bought it for a little over €6.50 per bottle first time, and it really is a find. It's from a tiny DOC just the the west of Zaragoza blending Temperanillo, Granacha and Merlot into a big, full bodied, blood red joy. If you are expecting a classic Bob Parker 'Cherry Bomb' explosion, forget it, this Borsao Crianza is big, but subtle. The price may have tickled up, but still worth every ¢
We loved this wine it's packed with flavour and matched our cheese plate perfectly. We will re-order this wine with our next purchase
Smooth , light and easy drinking . Fantastic value , great range of wines .
