What does this wine taste like?
Appearing a ruby-red colour, it's a pleasant and fresh wine that exudes aromas of ripe red fruits, strawberry, cherry, carob, liquorice, tobacco, leather... It's flavoursome on the palate: red and black-coloured berries, herbs, spices... A juicy and vibrant composition, which is in perfect balance with some subtle tannins, fine acidity and minerality.

Delicious wine for all seasons
I love Arianna Occhipinti's wines in general, but this one hits the QPR buttons. JSadly the wonderful Frappato - unquestionably the best frappato in the world - is now a bit expensive :-( While being a perfect summer red, juicy and delicious, it does go with a dizzying variety of foods. This vintage possibly seems a little more "serious" than earlier ones I've had - though of course "seriousness" is most definitely not the point of this joyful wine!
Just love this kick arse ladies wines! This is fruity but with enough complexity to keep things interesting. Violets, cherries and a great smoky earthiness make this a perfect wine for enjoying with food or just enjoying.
Wonderful Sicilian red
My go-to for all Italian food. Arianna Occhipinti produces my favourite Frappato, but that's pricey stuff and this more robust blend serves as a more affordable alternative for everyday drinking.
Cherry and spice.
Medium/light bodied with prominent cherry flavour and spiciness to the wine. Ideal at Christmas with rich cake or mince pies and pleasant to drink on its own.
This is a delicious wine in both white or red. The white is amazing with fish and the red is delicious with meat. Service is fantastic too from Vinissimus!
Arianna Occhipinti is a young, determined and charismatic Sicilian who, starting with her degree in oenology, decided to dedicate herself to what she loves most: her land, her vineyards, her wine. The land extends in the heart of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria area, in the Monte Iblei scenario, in the Fossa di Lupo and Piraino districts. They are very ancient lands, where the frappato di Vittoria and the Nero d'Avola originated. Arianna's biggest challenge...
