Of a wonderful very intense ruby red with violet reflections, the nose shows great concentration and intensity of aromas, from the fruity (black cherry, morello cherry and dried plum, small red and black undergrowth fruits), to floral (violet, pink, peony and gentian), from spicy (clove, cinnamon and medicinal herbs) to mineral (ink, graphite) and toasted chocolate and cocoa. The entrance on the palate is of great power and harmony, initially sweet and juicy, then full and velvety, with a very long final persistence in which notes of cinnamon, cocoa, coffee and sometimes memories of gentian or rhubarb emerge.
