Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker, Jancis Robinson, and Suckling

The latest release of Taittinger's NV Brut Prélude Grands Crus is showing nicely, offering up aromas of pear, crisp stone fruit, warm biscuits and marzipan. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and precise, with tangy acids and fine depth at the core, this is still a little reserved after what I suspect is quite a recent disgorgement, and it will merit a little patience.

This really has the creamy signature of Taittinger. Quite rich but precise and with some finesse too. Orange peel. Then quite chewy after the crème pâtissière mid palate.

— Jancis Robinson (19/06/2019)JancisRobinson.com16.5 JANCIS ROBINSON

A tighter and firmer dry Champagne with a compact, minerally palate. Lovely, fine and creamy bead. Soft, round mid-palate with lemon, lemon-curd and green-apple flavors. Fresh finish. Linear. Made from one year. All from grand-cru vineyards. 50% chardonnay and 50% pinot noir. Drink now.

However, the Taittinger dynasty goes back a long way....
