The wine
In homage to the founder of the monastic order of Carthusian monks who, back in the 12th Century, were the first to grow vines and make wine in this area.
The main grape variety used in production is the Carineña, grown in vineyards aged between 60 and 80 years old.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
