At Rejadorada, the story does not begin in a winery, but in a grape.
The Tinta de Toro, a unique variety in the world, has been defying an extreme climate for centuries: cold winters, scorching summers and poor soils. Nobody gave it anything for free. And perhaps that is why its wines need no frills to excite. They are intense, mineral, deep. They speak of the place they come from.
More than 20 years ago, two mavericks, Luis Remesal and winemaker José A. Fernández "Chencho", decided to give this grape the voice it deserved. Thus was born Bodega Rejadorada in the historic Palacio Reja Dorada. Today, the tradition continues with Mario Remesal and winemaker Roberto Martín, wine artisans who continue to work with old vines in goblets, gravity-fed vinification and precise oak ageing to preserve the purest essence of the vineyard.
Their philosophy is simple and radical:
Not all wines deserve to bear our stamp. Only the authentic ones.
Rosum Cepas Viejas 2018 is a Tinta de Toro from old vines, selected for their character and personality.
A wine that combines strength and elegance:
Intense aromas of ripe black fruit
Mineral and spicy notes
Powerful, structured, yet balanced mouth
Long and persistent finish, full of character
A wine for those who seek real sensations, without artifice.
