It comes from the Friulano vineyards planted in the lower area of Cormons. Like many Italian native vines it has a fruit far from the so-called international taste, but this does not mean that it is a minor wine. The notes of hazelnut and bitter almond replace the apple, peach or apricot of the international grape varieties. The body is powerful, rich in glycerin and is characterized by a slight tannicity that recalls the licorice stick. It closes in the mouth in a slightly bitter way, but contrary to what one might think this gives it finesse and nobility. It always has a beautiful greenish color.
It is the pairing wine par excellence. It looks good on many dishes, in particular on ham, on meat and fish carpaccio, with pasta or rice first courses when they have a sweet tendency given by starch.
