The wine

The Montsant Denomination of Origin is located in the centre of Catalonia, surrounding like a ring around the famous and exclusive DOCa Priorat. Some refer to the D.O. Montsant as The Diamond in the Rough because it is a very young D.O. but it already enjoys an impressive prestige all over the world. In fact, its prestige is growing so fast that in a very short time the D.O. Montsant will be one of the reference areas in the world.

In Montsant, vines have been cultivated for thousands of years. It is a very isolated area, based exclusively on agricultural cultivation that preserves nature and is an example of respect for the environment. The vineyards extend along the slopes of the mountains, between olive groves, forests and rocks.

This wine has an intense ruby colour, clean and bright. On the nose it expresses a great aromatic complexity, where black fruits stand out accompanied by liquorice, notes of coffee, chocolate and dried fruits. In the mouth it is very fresh, sweet and round. It fills the palate with a silky mouthfeel marked by fruity sensations that give it a long, velvety aftertaste.

Perlat Syrah is the ideal companion for all kinds of red meats, game, lamb, stews and cured cheeses. We recommend decanting.
