This cuvée is made from vines aged 4 to 10 years. Planted on clay-limestone and flint clay soils in the town of Pouilly sur Loire. Aging is carried out in stainless steel vats on fermentation lees for around 6 to 8 months. The bottling of Prélude is always the first carried out during the year, hence its name Prélude.
