A few years after the launch of Carinyena Centenària, Mas Doix decided, in 2015, to start bottling the oldest garnacha in the family separately. Philosophy and style would be common with those of the first Cariñena wine, as well as the location of the vineyard in the town of Poboleda. Grapes, small and concentrated, are capable of transmitting a perfect sensation of maturity without losing an apex of freshness; once destemmed and pressed, its must passed, already as it came, to a aging of 16 months in barrels of 225 or 500 liters. Only between 400 and 600 bottles are bottled according to the vintage of this vibrant and concentrated, aromatic and harmonic wine. In spite of its long aging, the enormous entity of the fruit allowed the primary aromas to be preserved intact, which due to their maturity can remind the jam of wild black fruit in the nose, while in the mouth they exhibit their freshest part.
