deliciously good value!

after drinking mainly spanish wine for a few years, this was like a holiday for my taste buds! characteristically smooth, with very soft tanins and not a hint of bitterness. a taste that's very hard to find in a spanish wine. at this price, very good value. why spend more?!

Disappointing But Not Tragic

I was expecting a bit more weight, complexity and legs on this wine, given it is a Reserva, and that Chilean Cab Sauvs are usually honest and true to the grape. It was disapointing in a pleasant but 'a bit "Meah' kind of way. No legs running down the glass and nothing particularly memorable on the nose, and certainly no big cherry/raspberry fruit appeal. Certainly tasted more pleasant with the enouragement of food, which is just a way of saying that food pretty much disguises this fairly thin wine. You would be far better off with the El Coto Reserva for the money.
