Wine critics reviewsReviews by Parker

The 2020 Idoia Blanc, harvested a little earlier than in the past to keep the freshness and be less mellow, in search of more freshness and verticality (but not as much as l'Equilibrista). It was produced with a blend of 55% Xarello, 17% Garnacha Blanca, 15% Chardonnay and 13% Macabeo and has some notes of oak after maturing in new and used barrels for five months. It has some smoky and spicy aromas along with hints of pollen and chamomile and a very tasty palate, with 13% alcohol, a dry mouthfeel and a tasty finish. The aim is that the whites don't go through malolactic. I also tasted the 2016 to check the evolution, which is fantastic, with classical notes of camphor, pine needles and esparto grass. This, even from a challenging year, should follow that path. 35,000 bottles and 600 magnums produced.

Ca N'Estruc

The Ca N'Estruc estate is situated on the mountainside of Montserrat, in the municipal district of Esparreguera (Barcelona), and has been deeply rooted in the world of wine since 1548. The 26 ha of vineyards lie at a height of 165 m above sea level and enjoy a specific micro-climate due to being sheltered from the cold north winds by the mountain of Montserrat. Located in the middle of the estate is the bodega where Francisco Martí Badia, who is both vine grower and wine...
