Review

Supported by their long wine-making experience, the company’s venture into the Rueda region and the fruit of very old plots of bush vines, planted on slopes with gravel soil in Valladolid province and on level, stony terrain lying at an altitude of 800 metres in Segovia.

A yellow colour with greenish glints, the wine is bright and clean in appearance. On the nose it releases an intense aroma packed with fruit and persistent, releasing typical varietal notes such as fennel. The entry is ample and fresh, with the palate balanced by good acidity and an aftertaste highlighting citrus and white fruits.

Good value

Difficult to fault this wine at the price. Lightly fruity, no great length, but perfectly pleasant as an accompaniment to salads or fish dishes. I would buy again.

Bodegas Gran Feudo

Gran Feudo is a well-recognised brand name that has made its mark over the past 35 years and is known in over 60 countries. With connections to the Bodegas Julián Chivite family of Navarra, its history comes through one of Spain's oldest wine-making dynasties. In 1872 Claudio Chivite began building a winery called La Cascajera, which was named after the stone quarry where it was located, and this now houses Bodegas Gran Feudo, complete with renovation and refurbishments.
