A cellar where history and experimentation come together in perfect harmony. In Roncà, between Verona and Vicenza, the Gianni Tessari winery is a rare and precious pearl, which is expressed with personality and elegance in all the splendid appellations of the territory. From the Soave to the Berici Hills to the Lessini Mountains, the winery has managed to carve out a role of absolute multi-faceted and convincing all-round protagonist.
Among the many challenges of the company, all focused on the protection of the terroir, there is certainly the valorisation of the local natives. Above all of them, the Berici Hills. Gianni Tessari says: "The wine of authenticity, of essence. Inextricably rooted in the territory of which it is the native vine. It is a world to be rediscovered, flavours and aromas that are revealed and which derive pleasure from amazing, like a statue moulded on a rough material that, once forged and shaped, shows its mysterious beauty: an authentic beauty".
Poetic words, certainly, but that perfectly contextualise the connection between the area of these hills and "their" typical grape variety. Dark ruby, sometimes dense, on the nose this Tai Red of character expresses a wide and refined range of scents. From marasca cherry jam to dried prune, from the most fragrant pomegranate to a mentholated and balsamic puff. The taste is young, yes, but also elegant, fresh, already harmonious, with good structure and excellent sapidity. Thanks to the 1-year refinement in oak, but also the exceptional tempering of a variety to be rediscovered.
