The wine
Wine produced in the lands of Montalcino, it is characterized by its versatility which makes it an excellent table companion. Fragrant, harmonious and exuberant wine. It is bright ruby red in color, the aromatic bouquet refers to hints of plum and morello cherry wrapped in spicy notes. On the palate it is fresh and enveloping, balanced with light tannins and with an excellent persistence with a fruity aftertaste. It goes perfectly with pasta dishes with meat sauce, stewed white meats, salami and medium-aged cheeses.

Serve between 16ºC and 18ºC

Fattoria dei Barbi is truly one of the great wineries of Montalcino, and also the company which has produced Brunello wine continuously for the longest time. Brunello is a single-variety Sangiovese wine first created by the Biondi-Santi family in the late 19th century.
