Details for Contadi Castaldi Franciacorta Brut
Contadi Castaldi Brut is a delightful Franciacorta, a classic expression of Italy's most effervescent denomination. A very versatile wine, ideal for a whole host of occasions.
Made mainly from the Chardonnay (80%) variety, with a small addition of Pinot Noir (10%) and Pinot Blanc (10%), and aged for two years on its lees. Experience acquired at Bellavista, another winery in the group, along with the carefully produced cuvée, the moderate use of oak and ageing on its lees, form the basis of this balanced and creamy sparkling wine, capable of combining the Chardonnay's elegance with the Franciacorta's flavour, freshness and typicity.
Contadi Castaldi Brut is a lively, fragrant and easy to drink sparkling wine which hits the right note from the first sip. A bright straw-yellow colour and with an abundance of fine bubbles, it appears delicate on the nose and comes over as particularly fresh and pleasant with its notes of apple, peach, citrus fruits, white flowers, green pepper, brioche...
On the palate, the gentle tingling sensation provided by its bubbles is followed by the freshness and tastiness of its flavour. A revitalising and crisp sparkling wine, offering a clean and persistent finish with toasty and spicy notes.
