The wine
What does this wine taste like?
It has a bright, clean, and attractive cherry-red colour.
Aromas of fresh red fruit, such as cherry and raspberry, dominate the nose. There are also soft spicy notes and a slight floral touch that adds freshness.
On the palate, it is balanced and pleasant.
The fruit comes through clearly.
It has soft tannins, moderate acidity and a light but flavourful mid-palate. The finish is clean and persistent, without excessive woodiness.
This is a wine designed to please. It does not seek extreme complexity. It seeks balance and ease of enjoyment.

Winemaking
Campo Viejo Tempranillo is made by fermenting in stainless steel tanks, which helps preserve the variety's fruity character.
Temperature control during fermentation helps to maintain freshness and primary aromas.
In this particular style, wood does not play a leading role. The intention is to offer a straightforward wine, focused on fruit and balance.
The result is an accessible Rioja, designed for easy, modern drinking.
Vineyards
The grapes come from vineyards located in the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin, one of Spain's most renowned wine-producing regions.
Rioja combines:
- Atlantic and Mediterranean influences
- Varied, clayey and calcareous soils
- Altitudes that favour balanced ripening
The Tempranillo variety finds its best expression here. It develops ripe fruit, balanced acidity and a pleasant structure.
Campo Viejo works with local winegrowers to ensure consistent quality in every vintage.
