Bergerie de L'Hortus Blanc

This cuvée exists in the three colors red, white and rosé. It comes from plots located at the bottom of the slope for the red grape varieties and from plots located at the bottom of the valley for the whites. In both cases, we will have less marked intermediate exposure than the mid-Côtes plots. The maturities on the whole are later than those encountered for the Domaine de l'Hortus cuvée. For white, brown soils formed on alluvial deposits mixed with hard limestone shards from cliffs and materials from soft limestone constituting the bedrock where the river has dug its bed. Both the nature of the soil and the climate of these plots make this terroir very late. The maturities encountered ensure a very good balance in the wine, between acidity and aromatic complexity.
