Details for B. Romeo C. Nº4 La Dehesa de Pangua 2018
Bottle size and vintage
2018 was a warm and damp vintage. Temperatures were a couple of degrees above average in October before stabilizing in the winter months. December’s more typical rainfall statistics made up for a dryish October and November. January was an unusually warm month, while February and March were extremely cold. These first months of the year also saw abundant rainfall. Springtime brought with it more typical weather conditions, with a rainy April before the hot and dry summer season eventually kicked off in June. July, August, and September were all very hot months.
The harvest was a plentiful one thanks, in part, to how little the vines produced in 2017 following the severe frosts they experienced. Thinning out the grapes during their growth period also helped to produce fruit with a perfect balance between the alcohol content, acidity, and tannicity of these wines.
