Intense ruby red color, the nose expresses the characteristics of the terroir of the Montefalco area. A mix of balsamic tones and fruity notes, ranging from cherries to currant, passing through blackberry and plum. Fresh palate with balanced tannins. The flavor further enlivens the taste, albeit already fruity and balsamic. The wine is aged in large oak barrels for at least 12 months before bottling. We recommend matching with particularly tasty dishes and aged cheeses.

To my experience Adanti winery has the best Montefalcos in the region. And their Montefalco Rosso has excellent price/quality -ratio. Enjoyed 2014 already with pasta but even BetterMen in gets after two years in cellar.
Previous vintage I have tasted is 2011. It was very nice already when on market and even smoother this summer. Year 2013 is also good already now but I’m sure that after few years it’s as good as 2011.
Un buon vino di Montefalco, seppur meno blasonato di altre cantine ottimo vino
