Aalto PS is a wine with an unmistakable personality, robust and mature, yet at the same time possessing great balance and finesse. As indicated by the acronym, it's made with grapes from selected parcels (PS, Pagos Seleccionados), vineyards which stand out due to their particular qualities of ripeness, balance and exceptional concentration, nurturing very old vines that range from 60 to 90 years old, located within the municipal boundaries of La Horra, La Aguilera and, since the 2014 vintage, Piñel de Abajo as well.
Resulting from such high quality grapes as these and after an ageing period of about 18 months, comes Aalto PS, an excellent wine for cellaring. Although it can be drunk as soon as released, it's always much better after some years of evolution in bottle, since it becomes more refined and complex over the passage of time. Another great wine bearing the hallmark of Mariano García, the profoundness of the Ribera del Duero and all the freshness of the Tempranillo.

A wine to stock up on
I visited the Bodega in April which is a couple of miles back from the strip. I had half a bottle of this wine and the straight Aalto and they were both gorgeous. This is deep, dark and powerful but with a lovely sweet red fruit. You wont be disappointed!by: wineloverX (15/02/2017) - Vintage 2014
I am saving this 2 years at least as this is too great a wine to drink early. I have had all years since forever now so I am a big fan. Other years are now super hard to find.by: Vinissimus Customer (21/08/2017) - Vintage 2015
Strength of Ribera del Duero
Very promising wine with depth and power. However this is still way too young to drink in 2017. Buy now while the supplies last and place it in the cellar.by: Wine Lover1972 (14/10/2017) - Vintage 2015
Love this wine, can't wait to try it again in a few years time once its ready.
