Verdiso

In the prosecco district of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, verdiso is the second native white grape after glera. Documented in the territory for centuries, it has always been appreciated for its high yields and productivity. Currently, it is mainly, but occasionally, used in blends with glera for the production of Prosecco, to which it gives particular acidity. It gives a wine of a pale-straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections, with a subdued, subtle, delicate, fine, slightly fruity bouquet. The body is slender, fresh and sapid, endowed with good and pleasant acidity. Overall harmonious and significant on the palate. It is often accompanied by a light carbonic anhydrase that makes it pleasantly drinkable.
