Nouveau wine

Wines of the Nouveau or Carbonic Maceration type are young wines with primary aromas, red wines with a predominance of floral and crisp fresh fruit aromas, luscious with a creamy feel, which should be drunk in their first year so as to enjoy their explosive aromatic display. In its production process, fermentation occurs within the grape itself and the most famous regions still carrying out this traditional vinification system are Rioja, with their Cosechero wines, Cataluña with their Vi Novell (especially in Montsant and Conca de Barberà), and Toro, and that’s apart from the Italian Novellos and the famous Beaujolais Nouveau.
