Giribaldi

The Giribaldi family has its roots in Rodello, in the heart of the territory that is crossed leaving the Langhe and reaching Monferrato. It is the centre of the Piedmont of wine, and it is here that, at the beginning of the twentieth century, the Giribaldi family set up their wine project. A story made up of passion and a profound knowledge of the territory: that is, of the numerous soils, that in a large and diversified property like that of the family represent the fulcrum, the origin of production.

Giribaldi’s is still today a strictly family-run winery. Not more than ten people who were the stars of one of the first conversions to certified organic in Piedmont, in 2004.

The wines, based on an agile and effective style, are those of tradition. The Barolo, from grapes of the municipality of Novello, and the Barbaresco, which comes from Neive, are based on a traditionalist approach. And Caj, a Barbera of great fruit but also with deep notes of spices and vanilla, is no exception. And then the Dolcetto Davì, a very interesting experiment of a Langhe wine without added sulfites.

On the white front, the Giribaldi are active on all the most important denominations of the territory. Therefore, all the natives are involved, from the Cortese di Gavi to the Favorita up to the Arneis, with an international foray with the excellent Chardonnay Campo del Pero and the Alta Langa Matteo Giribaldi, in a blend with Pinot Noir for a classic method of great charm.
