Ratings and awards
Needs opening and decanting to get at its hidden depths.
This wine is locked in a vault. If you open the wine and immediatly drink some, its whole point is lost. This wine needs decanting and leaving for a seriously long time. I found three hours was optimum. Then the wine is a revelation of superb fruit and great depth which is well worth the wait. So dont rush it, plan ahead and you will be amply rewarded.
Good, full bodied and smooth
This wine has been well matured. It is full off flavour, is not too oakey and would accompany red meat, game or robust cheeses. Worthy of its Parker rating.
Rich hint of berries giving it's rich dark hue. Light tannins, very easy on the palate. Aerate and wait.....wow. Excellent value
A very good wine with high value for the cost
Bold yet balanced wine, the mix of tannins, oak and ripe fruit gives a full body appeal. Long finish. Fantastic value!
Very good with beef
I liked this wine very much. Enjoyed with well cooked beef in a lovely restaurant. Just perfect :) Cheap but good.
